The Celtic Ring pattern draws upon the Celtic heritage by creating a design that loops and twists across the surface of the crystal in a repeating, never ending motif. The pattern flows like a folk song on sheet music. The notes are connected through the cuts, resembling the villagers lives of farming and fishing.

The Cashs Master Artisans, like ancient stone carvers, use their skill and knowledge to incise this pattern deep into the crystal, opening up reflective facets that sparkle and glisten in the light. To begin this process, each pattern is marked by hand and then lightly scored on diamond tipped wheels. Once satisfied, the Master Cutter then applies more force while smoothly moving the crystal over the cutting edge of the wheel until the required cutting depth is reached. Any hesitation or break in concentration can ruin a piece as the curved cuts in the Celtic Ring pattern must be done in one continous pass. Tradition honoring tradition: A Crystal Artisan paying homage to his Celtic past and bringing to life the textures and patterns of Ireland. Hand made in Waterford, Ireland.
To the west of County Waterford lies the small Irish speaking (“Gaelteacht”) community of Ring, an area steeped in Irish tradition, folklore and music. Here time is controlled by the tide and the seasons, as farming and fishing are still the main occupations of the area. To spend a few days here gives the sense of how life should be lived, simply and in harmony with nature: respecting the land, the inhabitants and traditions. Celtic art reflects this interwoven fabric of life in its many complex and absorbing knot designs that invite one to trace their origins.
The Celtic Ring pattern, by Cashs Crystal, draws upon this heritage by creating a design that loops and twists across the surface of the crystal in a repeating, never ending motif. The pattern flows like a folk song on sheet music. The notes are connected through the cuts, resembling the villagers' lives of farming and fishing.

Cashs Crystal Tradition
Since 1976 Cashs of Ireland has been synonymous with fine crystal and gifts, all fashioned in traditional ways by skilled Irish craftsmen.
For generations, these Irish craftsmen have passed their knowledge of the ancient art of crystal making and
cutting from father to son. Cashs artisans have dedicated their lives to their craft, and their city of Waterford, Ireland. Cashs Crystal is hand cut, where possible, and polished to perfection according to centuries old
techniques.
Inspired by Nature
Talented designers draw inspiration from Ireland’s rich history and beautiful countryside. They translate the
rolling green foothills, walled remnants of ancient cities, and magnificent seaside into stunning art.
