Martin Croke comes to Cashs Crystal with 40 years of experience in crystal cutting and design.
Previous to this Martin was employed at Waterford Crystal, from 1969 to 2009, where he rose from the position of Master Cutter to become Head of Design. Design and Art are his two main passions. He is currently completing a BA (Hons) degree in Visual Arts at Waterford Institute of Technology and has just achieved a Diploma in Garden Design.
Fascinated with the art of glass making Martin embraces the manufacturing process, describing it as his “paint box”, but while he concedes that “not everything is possible,” he constantly explores new ways to advance his designs. His technical expertise, coupled with his creative flair is highly respected and acknowledged within the industry and has proven him worthy to work with the legends of glass making.
Martin lives and works in his native city of Waterford, Ireland. Walking daily, he draws his inspiration from nature and the beautiful Irish landscapes. His artistic ability translates his vision into stunning stories on crystal.
In 2010 Martin joined forces with Cashs and Walter Walsh, his close friend and Cashs Master Artisan, in the quest to create the most beautiful, radiant, high quality crystal made in Ireland.
