Graceful yet robust columns of brilliant, clear crystal, are perfect accents for a banquet or for radiating a gentle, calming evening light. The lively bubbles inside the columns seem to rain down from the candles. The teardrop-shaped tops of the Cool candleholders are details of superb glassmaking craft that hark back to the Boda styles of the 1960s.

Eight designers are currently on retainer at Kosta Boda. They work with both utilitarian and art glass. The designers are Olle Brozén, Anna Ehrner, Kjell Engman, Ulrica Hydman-Vallien, Bertil Vallien, Ludvig Lofgren, Asa Jungnelius and Göran Wärff. Glass results from a great many meetings between people - artists, craftspeople and lovers of glass.

The artists of Kosta Boda have a decisive role to play in all the creative stages of the process. The cooperation between the designers and the skilled craftspeople is very close; indeed, it is essential if the designers are to transfer their intentions to the glass.
