Asa Jungnelius always has a message behind her popular products, and her Make Up series is bursting with symbols of feminine accessories used worldwide. Earlier elements of the series included nail polish, lipstick, and shimmering gold plates. The new additions this fall are invitingly sculpted lips in red, black, and gold. Give away a kiss--of glass!

Gloriously girly in reds and pinks, these small sculptures make lovely decorative objects to add a splash of colour to any display space or to grace a dressing table.

The Make Up series is all about how we create our identity through the phenomenon of shopping. I see makeup as a forgotten status symbol, Asa says. I want to bring those symbols into the light, out of our pockets, to give them the status they deserve.
Designed by Asa Jungnelius "Excess is beautiful. Behind every object, there's a story. I love bling. The hard, shiny and cold surface of glass suits me."

About Kosta Boda
With characteristic craftsmanship and good design, and an ongoing commitment to avant-garde expression, Kosta Boda has become one of the leading glasshouses in the world.
The company's three glassworks in the villages of Kosta, Boda and Åfors each have exciting individual stories of their own, yet stand together under the common brand name Kosta Boda.
Ten designers are currently on retainer at Kosta Boda. They work with both utilitarian and art glass. The designers are Monica Backström, Olle Brozén, Anna Ehrner, Kjell Engman, Anne Nilsson, Ulrica Hydman-Vallien, Gunnel Sahlin, Bertil Vallien, Ann Wåhlström and Göran Wärff.
Glass results from a great many meetings between people - artists, craftspeople and lovers of glass. The artists of Kosta Boda have a decisive role to play in all the creative stages of the process.
The cooperation between the designers and the skilled craftspeople is very close; indeed, it is essential if the designers are to transfer their intentions to the glass.
