From 1391, the imposing Kilkenny Castle was home to the Anglo-Norman Butler family known as the Earls of Ormond. Since 1967, Kilkenny has been owned and faithfully restored by Irish land trust and is a foremost visitor attraction in Ireland. This 2008 8" plate is strictly limited to 2,000, individually numbered.
