The Four Leaf Clover has always been associated in Ireland of being a symbol of luck and shamrock is also rich in symbolism being the emblem of St Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland. This basket is expertly hand crafted by Belleek basket makers and is a unique shamrock shape adorned with quaint hand painted four leaf clovers.

The creation of each Belleek Basket tells us a story about the amazing art of Belleek basket making. Basket and flower making was introduced to Belleek by William Henshall who came to work for Belleek Pottery in the late 1860's. Over the next forty years he developed the craft and trained the local craftsmen in the necessary skills. These in turn passed their skills down through the following generations to the present day.

Belleek Pottery has been hand-crafting fine porcelain in County Fermanagh, Ireland, continuously since 1857.

Known for its beautiful translucence, each piece is light but is also very durable, with fine design detail and hand-painted shamrocks, flowers or gold trim.

16 individuals craft and care for each piece before it receives the famous Belleek trade mark, ensuring it's authenticity, is gift boxed and packed for the journey to America.

Belleek's reputation has been built on product excellence. Company founder, John Caldwell Bloomfield declared that any piece with even the slightest flaw must be destroyed. Over 155 years later, this is still strictly adhered to. The result is perfection.
