Michael Fanning

Michael Fanning is a new addition to Cashs Crystal family. He is a talented jewelry designer with stellar career in Irish crystal production.

Michael Fanning is a highly skilled craftsman and innately talented artist. His creative talent brought him to the attention of Waterford Crystal who invited him to join them in 1974.

During his 40 year career working with crystal he designed some of the World's most prestigious awards, Eurovision Song Contest , Irish Open Golf and the World and European Athlete of the year trophy’s to name but a few.

Michael's natural flair for contemporary design soon gained him the position of Design Manager for Waterford’s Marquis Brand.

With the closure of the Waterford Kilbarry plant in 2009 Michael set out to explore the potential for contemporary Irish Crystal Jewellery and joined Cashs Crystal. Here in Waterford City where the World's finest crystal is still made he hopes to carry on the heritage and romance of crystal making just as his predecessors have done for the last two centuries, this time with hand made Cashs Crystal.

Michael lives and works in Ballyrobin Ferrybank on the border of South Kilkenny and Waterford City. Living in Ireland he draws his inspiration for his new Cashs Crystal jewellery collection from Ireland’s breath taking scenery and the beautiful country side that surround him.
